STILLWATER — High-powered offense and a pair of dominant pitching performances helped the No. 13-ranked Oklahoma State softball team sweep its doubleheader against Kansas by scores of 8-1 and 5-0 Friday at Cowgirl Stadium.

In the first game, Samantha Clakley allowed just four hits and one run in a complete-game effort for the Cowgirls. Clakley picked up the win, improving to 7-3 on the year.

Samantha Show had a big game for OSU at the plate, finishing 3 for 3 with two homers and four RBIs.

In game two, Show was equally impressive in the circle. The Texas A&M transfer struck out six and held the Jayhawks to four hits in her fifth complete-game shutout of the season. Show is 12-5 this season.

Sydney Pennington and Sydney Springfield each had two hits in the nightcap, helping OSU clinch its third straight Big 12 series victory.

The series finale is set for Saturday at 1 p.m., but expected inclement weather could alter the schedule.
