State leaders debate how best to fund education

Gov. Kevin Stitt and legislative leaders are ironing out differences on education funding.

During his February State of the State address to lawmakers, Stitt called for a $1,200 teacher pay raise.

The proposed raise would be on top of an average $6,100 teachers received last session.
