Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger has been interviewed for the UCLA head coaching job, according to Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times.

Bolch reported that Tennessee coach Rick Barnes is the front runner for the UCLA job. The Bruins had zeroed in on TCU coach Jamie Dixon, but UCLA was reportedly unwilling to pay his buyout.

Kruger, 66, has spent the last eight seasons at Oklahoma. He led the Sooners to the second round of the NCAA Tournament this season.

OU has made the tournament in six of his eight seasons, including a Final Four run in 2016.

Kruger owns 639 career college coaching victories with stops at Texas Pan-American, Kansas State, Florida, Illinois, UNLV and OU.
