Mustang has its new boys basketball coach.

The Broncos are set to name Westmoore coach Scott Hodges their new basketball coach, athletic director Robert Foreman told The Oklahoman.

The hire is pending board approval. A news conference to introduce him is set for 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Hodges spent the past decade at Westmoore, where he became the school’s all-time winningest coach. He was 130-111 overall, including a 2017 state tournament berth. Since 2010, 15 Westmoore players have played collegiately.

Westmoore was 6-17 last season.

Hodges replaces Tondrell Durham, who resigned Feb. 12 hours before the Broncos’ game that night. He told Foreman his resignation was due to personal reasons.
