Emmy-nominated “This Is Us” actress Chrissy Metz made her live singing debut on Sunday night's Academy of Country Music Awards.
Metz crooned the emotional “I’m Standing with You” from the upcoming film “Breakthrough,” in which she stars.
She was joined by Checotah native Carrie Underwood, Oklahoma-Texas duo Maddie & Tae, Lauren Alaina and Mickey Guyton, who lifted their voices with her.
The women are all featured on the star-studded album "Breakthrough," music from and inspired by the highly-anticipated motion picture, released Friday on Mercury Nashville.
As previously reported, the soundtrack includes all original music and recordings from Adam Hambrick, Darius Rucker, Jukebox the Ghost, Phil Wickham, Pigeon John and Taylor Mosby, plus special featured guests Kirk Franklin and Lecrae.
Opening in theaters April 17, "Breakthrough,"starring Chrissy Metz, Josh Lucas, Topher Grace, Mike Colter, Marcel Ruiz, Sam Trammell, and Dennis Haysbert, is based on the inspirational true story of one mother’s unfaltering love and faith in the face of impossible odds.
