Sooners schedule football home-and-home with Alabama for 2032-33
NORMAN — Oklahoma's aggressive football scheduling continued this week with the Sooners announcing a home-and-home series with Alabama for 2032-33.
OU will host the Crimson Tide on Sept. 11, 2032 before traveling to Tuscaloosa on Sept. 10, 2033.
The announcement comes just a few weeks after the Sooners announced a similar series with Clemson in 2035-36.
"Working ahead to schedule marquee opponents has become a necessity in today's college football world," OU athletic director Joe Castiglione said in a release.
The teams have met six times before, with the Sooners holding a 3-2-1 advantage.
The teams met in last season's Orange Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff, with Alabama winning 45-34.
Oklahoma's wins in the series came in the Sugar Bowl after the 2013 season (45-31), in Tuscaloosa in 2003 (20-13) and 37-27 in 2002 in Norman.
Alabama beat the Sooners 17-0 in the Orange Bowl after the 1962 season, and the teams played to a 24-24 tie in the 1970 Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston.
The programs are two of the top all-time, combining for 18 Associated Press national titles (seven by OU, 11 by Alabama).
