Three things to know

• The Cowgirls come into the series looking to strengthen their hold on second place in the Big 12. At 7-2, OSU has a half-game lead on Texas for second. Under coach Kenny Gajewski, OSU is 9-2 against Iowa State.

• OSU leadoff hitter Rylee Bayless has upped her on-base percentage to .474, having reached base in 25 of the last 26 games. For the season, she has 37 hits and 34 walks.

• Led by Samantha Show with 13, OSU has 56 home runs so far this season, and is on pace to blow past the school’s single-season record of 62. Show is two shy of the team’s individual single-season record of 15, held by senior second baseman Madi Sue Montgomery.
