Several Heritage Hall students recently were recipients of opportunities, scholarships and honors.
Heritage Hall students Mary Kate Magness and Turner Watkins were selected by the Alliance Française d'Oklahoma City for a two-week study abroad opportunity in northern France. There, the students stayed with host families and attended high school while conducting research on the topics submitted in their applications: The importance of sports for French youth (Magness) and architecture in schools (Watkins).
Also, Heritage Hall senior Alina Wilson was named a 2019 Coca-Cola Scholar. More than 95,000 applicants nationwide were narrowed to 1,896 semifinalists to 251 regional finalists to 150 honorees.
Additionally, Heritage Hall junior Sukanya Bhattacharya was among 1,383 students nationwide to be named a 2019 Carson Scholar. The Carson Scholars Fund awards $1,000 college scholarships to students in fourth through 11th grades who embrace high standards in academics and service.
And, Heritage Hall senior Emily Pearson was selected as an OKC Community Foundation Scholar.
