OU Men's Gymnastics: Sooners advance to NCAA team finals

Top-ranked Oklahoma men's gymnastics recorded a team score of 419.191 to win the second preliminary session of the NCAA Championships on Friday night in Champaign, Illinois.

The Sooners took first, followed by Illinois (410.324), Penn State (404.287), Iowa (400.390), Ohio State (399.754) and Army (383.855).

With Friday's performance, OU, Illinois and Penn State advanced to Saturday's championship round against Stanford, Michigan and Nebraska.

The Sooners will attempt to win their fifth consecutive national title during the team finals on Saturday. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
