OKC Dodgers edge New Orleans Baby Cakes 8-7 in extras

Shane Peterson scored on a groundout in the top of the 10th inning to lead the Oklahoma City Dodgers to an 8-7 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes on Saturday in Metairie, Louisiana.

Peterson scored after he started the inning on second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Rocky Gale drove in Peterson.

The Baby Cakes (16-13) tied the game 7-7 in the ninth when Deven Marrero hit a three-run home run as part of a five-run inning.

Reliever JT Chargois (1-0) picked up the win after he allowed two runs and two hits over 1 2/3 innings. Brian Moran (0-1) went one inning, allowing one run while striking out one.

Edwin Rios homered and had three RBIs for Oklahoma City (9-19).

Harold Ramirez homered, doubled and singled twice, scoring two runs for the Baby Cakes. Marrero homered and singled, driving in three runs.
