Oklahoma State baseball tops Oregon State 5-2, captures series

Christian Funk hit a solo home run and finished with three RBIs, and No. 21-ranked Oklahoma State baseball beat No. 2 Oregon State 5-2 Saturday night in Corvallis, Oregon.

The Cowboys had eight hits in the series-clinching victory. Colin Simpson and Andrew Navigato each drove in one run.

Oregon State (31-13-1), the defending national champion, stranded 12 runners on base and had seven hits.

Oklahoma State (27-16) used five pitchers in the game.

Reliever Logan Gragg pitched a team-high four innings and was credited with the win. Gragg (3-3) struck out five and gave up just one hit.

Bryce Fehmel took his first loss of the year. Fehmel (6-1) allowed six hits and five runs in the first five innings of the game.

The three-game series will conclude with a matchup on Sunday. First pitch is set for 2:05 p.m.
