Oklahoma senior third baseman Sydney Romero and junior pitcher Giselle Juarez are two of 10 finalists for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, it was announced Wednesday.

OU is the only school with two finalists.

Romero leads the Big 12 in all three triple crown categories, batting .431 with 17 home runs and 51 RBIs. She's struck out just six times.

Romero's sister, Sierra Romero, won the award at Michigan in 2016.

Juarez, in her first season with the Sooners after transferring from Arizona State, is 21-0 with a 1.32 ERA. Juarez has struck out 10 batters per seven innings. She's been used as Oklahoma's primary starter in a rotation with Mariah Lopez and Shannon Saile.

She would become the second Oklahoma pitcher to win the award. Keilani Ricketts, now a volunteer assistant for the Sooners, was named Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013.

The top-three finalists will be announced May 22.
