OSU fires women's golf coach Courtney Jones
Oklahoma State announced Friday that women's golf coach Courtney Jones will not be retained.
The news comes a day after OSU's final two golfers were eliminated from NCAA postseason competition, falling short of advancing out of the regional tournament. OSU did not qualify for regionals as a team, but sent two individuals.
In her six seasons as the head coach, Jones and the Cowgirls won 12 event titles, including the 2016 Big 12 Championship. Jones was the only female head coach at Oklahoma State.
Assistant coach and former Cowboy golfer Par Nilsson will serve as the interim head coach.
