OU softball: Sydney Romero sets school record for doubles

Oklahoma senior Sydney Romero, in her second at-bat Friday night against Kansas, set a school record with her 57th career double. 

Romero passed Lisa Carey (1998-01) on the all-time doubles list.

The third baseman is one of 10 finalists for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. She came into the Big 12 tournament batting .431 with 17 home runs. 

Oklahoma will resume Big 12 tournament play at 11 a.m. Saturday to conclude its game against Kansas that was suspended due to rain.
