Man found Saturday in Oklahoma City house fire dies
A man found inside a house with a small fire burning died at a hospital Saturday, firefighters reported.
The name of the man was not released by firefighters.
About 5:25 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of smoke in a house at 3840 NW 14. A man was found inside and taken to a hospital where he died.
Oklahoma City police and fire investigators have not reported a cause.
Investigators responded to look into the death as a precautionary measure, but no signs of foul play were reported Sunday, said Sgt. Robbie Robertson.
A small fire in a piece of furniture was extinguished in the home.
The man's death is the eighth reported in a house fire in Oklahoma City this year. Last year, 22 people died in fires.
