Ryan J. Maxwell has been selected as Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School's 2019 Alumni of the Year.

Maxwell was born in Oklahoma City. And, while not raised in a Catholic family, he attended Villa Teresa, St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School and graduated from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in 1998. During his senior year at Bishop McGuinness, he made the decision to become Catholic and was baptized and confirmed in April 1998.

He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa. He now works in revenue accounting for Enable Midstream Partners in downtown Oklahoma City.

Maxwell was one of the early members of Kairos retreats and is still an active Kairos Boys trailblazer. He has participated as a leader for the last five years.

A lector at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, he is an active member of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults core group, helping connect to others joining the church. Almost every Saturday and Sunday, Maxwell helps prepare and serve the homeless community as part of Sister Barbara Joseph’s food pantry.

His hobbies include staying fit, bowling, attempting to play golf and reading.
