Energy FC begins U.S. Open Cup play in Norman

Energy FC will meet NTX Ravados in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign on Tuesday night in Norman on John Crain Field at the University of Oklahoma.

Match time is 7:30 p.m. Rayados advanced the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign after defeating the Little Rock Rangers in a penalty shootout in the first round last Wednesday.

The two teams met in the second round last year, with the Rayados pulling off the 5-2 upset. It will be Energy FC's first match in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the longest ongoing soccer tournament in the United States. The U.S Open Cup pits professional and amateur teams against each other.

The Greens are coming off a 2-1 road loss in USL Championship play to Austin Bold FC last Friday. Deshorn Brown scored his sixth goal of the season before Austin pulled off the comeback to take all three points.

OSU golfers semifinalists for Player of the Year

Oklahoma State's Viktor Hovland and Matthew Wolff were among the players named semifinalists for the 2019 Division I Jack Nicklaus Player of the Year Award, it was announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Nicklaus Award recipients will be announced May 30 with the honor presented by Jack Nicklaus at a ceremony during the final round of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
