Oklahoma Scene: UCO softball's Heath named finalist for national player of year
Central Oklahoma softball standout JoBi Heath has been named one of 10 finalists for the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division II National Player of the Year award, it was announced Tuesday.
Heath, an Edmond Santa Fe alum, has a .403 batting average with 14 home runs. The senior leads the nation with 74 RBIs and ranks second in doubles (23).
The Bronchos (48-6) are set to host Augustana in the Central Super Regional. The best-of-three series begins Thursday.
