NCAA Men's Golf Roundup: OSU wins Louisville Regional
Oklahoma State shot a 7-under 277 to overcome an eight-shot deficit and win the NCAA Louisville Regional on Wednesday in Simpsonville, Kentucky.
The Cowboys finished with an overall score of 14-under 838. Auburn, the leader after two rounds of play, took second at 10 under.
OSU's Viktor Hovland tied for second place in the individual standings with a 6-under 207. Iowa State's Tripp Kinney took first at 7 under.
With the win, OSU earned its 14th regional title and advanced to the NCAA Championships.
The tournament will be held May 24-29 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
OU advances to NCAA Championships
Oklahoma advanced to the NCAA Championships after taking third place at its regional in Pullman, Washington on Wednesday.
The Sooners recorded their third straight score of 10-under 270 in the final round. Texas A&M took first with an overall score of 33-under 807. BYU beat OU by one stroke at 31 under.
OU's Blaine Hale, who entered Wednesday atop the leaderboard, tied for third in the individual standings. The senior had a 54-hole total of 12-under 198.
