Oklahoma Scene: 5 Energy FC players named to provisional Gold Cup rosters

Five Oklahoma City Energy FC players have been selected to their country's provisional rosters for this summer's Concacaf Gold Cup.

Alvin Jones, Mekeil Williams and Cordell Cato were named to the Trinidad and Tobago 40-man roster, and Omar Gordon and Je-Vaughn Watson were selected to the Jamaica team.

The Concacaf Gold Cup takes place every two years, and features teams in North America, Central America and the Caribbean region.

Each club will announce its final 23-man roster during the first week of June.

Late Tuesday: Smith leads OKC to 6-5 win over New Orleans

Will Smith homered twice and had three hits as the Oklahoma City Dodgers topped the New Orleans Baby Cakes 6-5 on Tuesday in Metairie, Louisiana.

Oklahoma City right-hander Daniel Corcino (3-1) picked up the win after allowing one run on just three hits over five innings. Opposing starter Hector Noesi (4-2) took the loss after giving up four runs and six hits over five innings.
