Tiger Woods won his first U.S. Open at Pebble Beach in 2000 by 15 shots, a major championship record. ... Phil Mickelson is a five-time winner of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, most recently in February. ... Woods, Nicklaus and Ben Hogan are the only players to win a PGA Tour event and a U.S. Open on the same course in the same year. ... Mickelson lacks only the U.S. Open to complete the career Grand Slam. The other two majors also had players trying for the career slam — Rory McIlroy at the Masters and Jordan Spieth at the PGA Championship. ...
